MILO Cheesecake

While my survey on desserts around the web i found some inspiring recipes from intellectual minds. It made me share the good ones with my visitors. 

I found an amazing proved recipe of MILO CHEESECAKE from http://www.kidspot.com.au

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

CHOCOLATE CRISPIE  BASE

  • Chocolate 250 g
  • Coconut powder 1/3 cup
  • Rice crispies 2 cups

CHEESECAKE FILLING:

  • Whipped cream 300ml
  • Cream cheese 340 g
  • Caster sugar or powdered sugar 1/3 cup
  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • Milo 1.5 cups (1 1/2 cup)
  • Gelatin powder 1 teaspoon

 

 

METHOD:

 

STEP:1

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or over steam. Don’t melt directly over flame. Once the chocolate gets melted mix in the rice crispies and coconut. Press this mixture at the bootom of a greased pan. Refrigerate for an hour.

 

 

STEP:2

Meanwhile beat the cream cheese until soft and creamy and add caster sugar.

 

 

 

STEP:3

In a hot milk add milo and mix well. Make sure no lumps are formed.

 

 

 

STEP:4

Dissolve gelatin into one tablespoon of hot water. Stir in the gelatin in hot milo mixture. Stir well.

 

 

 

STEP:5

Combine above milo-gelatin mixture into cream cheese. Stirring uniformly. Now fold in the whipped cream.

 

 

 

STEP:6

Pour the cream cheese filling over prepared base and level the surface with spoon or spatula. Sprinkle some milo powder on the top. Now refrigerate over night. Remove from tin and serve chilled.
